When we supply brand new parts these are not usually Apple original parts. Apple do not sell spare parts so there is not an active supply available. We would challenge any non-Apple shop or repair centre that claims to be selling new Apple parts. However we do hold a stock of preowned or reconditioned genuine Apple spare parts and we can sometimes offer these as a lower cost alternative to a new 3rd party part. We will always let you know before we fit preowned parts and give you the option.
Yes, always. We offer a 3-month warranty on all iPhone & iPad repairs and 12 months on all Mac computer repairs and upgrades. All new products have a 12-month warranty and all preowned products have at least a 6-month warranty.
Unfortunately not. Although we specialise in Apple products we are totally independent from Apple. This way we can offer a greater depth of knowledge and advice and we can carry out repairs that Apple do not offer, such as data recovery and the repair (not just replacement) of liquid-damaged devices.
We are VAT-registered and every purchase will come with a receipt. Please note however that we operate the VAT Margin Scheme. This means that for the sale of some preowned devices only you will get a receipt but not with VAT listed. This is when we have purchased goods from individuals and we have not had to pay VAT when acquiring the product.
If you lose your receipt but gave your details when you made the purchase we will have a record and will always honour warranties without the paper receipt if you can prove your identity.
No! When we offer a price for a repair or upgrade this will include the cost of the part, labour and any VAT.
This depends largely on the repair required, but as a rule a basic iPhone display or battery replacements take around 1 hour and for all other repairs and upgrades we target no more than 24-48 hours. We will try to give you an accurate estimate of time when you check the repair in.
We offer an initial diagnosis for free while you wait. We will try to give you an accurate description of the issue and a price for the repair. We then charge a £30 non-refundable deposit on repairs and where expensive parts are required that are not kept in stock (e.g. MacBook display) we may ask for full payment up front.
Data recovery is a very fickle beast and what can work in some cases will not work in others. We can attempt data recovery on most devices and we will take a quick look to gauge the chance of success for free before we attempt anything. If we can complete the recovery in-house the cost ranges from £50 – £200 but if recovery is needed from one of our preferred forensic data recovery partners this cost can increase dramatically. Of course we will always let you know and give you the option to refuse before any additional chargeable repair is completed.
As we are able to complete most repairs in-house we will always look at buying your broken or faulty Apple device for cash. Please bring it in to our store so we can take a look.
